Celtics Playoff Hopes Take Another Blow: Boston Loses Powe

The Celtics were dealt a huge blow to their postseason chances earlier this afternoon, as ESPN reported that Leon Powe is done for the rest of the postseason, citing a torn ACL in Monday night’s game.

Powe, who would be first to come off the bench when Glen Davis was in foul trouble, will now be relegated to watching alongside Kevin Garnett. Mikki Moore, whom Boston picked up late in the season, will now have to play some of the most important minutes of his NBA career over the next few days.

Boston’s frontcourt came into this series with Chicago already much thinner in their rotation, and now the trio of Kendrick Perkins, Glen Davis, and Mikki Moore are the only healthy big men available. Expect the Celt...
