Less Carlos Gomez, More Anybody Else

When the season started, a rotation of four outfielders in three available spots seemed feasible. It still is; there is no reason that, over the course of a 162 game season, four players cannot share at-bats. 

On month into the season however, the idea isn't working. Denard Span is the only one out of the group of four outfielders who has hit consistently. Michael Cuddyer and Delmon Young have shown glimpses of  their ability and earned playing time too.

Then there is Carlos Gomez. The young, emotional, and energetic outfielder hasn't hit, hasn't bunted, and for that matter, hasn't done anything.
