Jason Giambi From Goat to Hero In a Matter of Six Innings

The Oakland A's looked like again they would fail at an attempt to win a third straight game, but in the bottom of the seventh inning the A's luck changed and it was capped off with Jason Giambi driving in two runs on a hard hit single up the middle.

Before that though the only other scoring chance for the A's was all the way back in the bottom the first where the A's made Jarrod Washburn work through 28 pitches.

Orlando Cabrera lead off the game with a single followed by Kurt Suzuki lining a solid single into left field. Jack Cust grounded out to Jose Lopez who only got Suzuki at second base.
