I already know I am going to take a lot of heat for this but what the hell.

The 2009 San Francisco Giants offense is pathetic. As a team, they are batting .249. My softball team is better than that. The bright spot, however, has been the stellar pitching both on the starting rotation and in relief.

The Giants could be contenders this year, but they need that one big bat that they have been missing since the departure of Barry Bonds, who has been in exile. In the off-season they failed to bring in a big bat via free agent or trade.
