The Braves didn't envision their 5-1 start being downgraded so quickly with a sweep by the Florida Marlins this week.

The pitching that was there in the first week of this season just wasn't there against the fish from Florida.  Relief pitching was most certainly a disaster.

The Braves' lineup also suffered as they were forced to play two of the three games without All-Star third basemen Chipper Jones.

What was a great start, is now a 5-4 record as the Braves begin a nine game road trip where they will face the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Washington Nationals, and the Cincinnati Reds. This could be a good time for a breather as these teams have combined this season for a 9-16 record to begin the season.<...
