I wish the following baseball players would retire, right now: Pedro Martinez, Tom Glavine, Ken Griffey, Frank Thomas, Eric Gagne, John Smoltz, Gary Sheffield, Moises Alou, Orlando Hernandez, Mike Hampton, and Scott Rolen.
I wish Luis Aparicio, Bill Mazeroski, Brooks Robinson and Ozzie Smith were not in the Hall of Fame. I wish Tommy John, Bert Blyleven, Andre Dawson and Jim Kaat were.
I wish I knew what Peter Gammons meant when he said Schilling might not make the HOF, because he hadn't gotten 240 wins. Is that the new stopping place? He hasn't even made it to 220. If he goes, Mussina, John, Blyleven and Kaat better be with him.
