Yesterday, Rockies closer Manny Corpas once again pitched in a non-save situation.

Result: He gave up the game-winning run.

This is the third day in a row that Corpas has pitched (the fourth time in five days), and not once in that span has it been a save situation.

I don't know what kind of managerial brainstorming Clint Hurdle is doing, but it's really not working. I can understand bringing in your closer in a non-save sitch if he hasn't pitched in a while. You need to give the guy work so he doesn't get rusty.

But Corpas is far from rusty: he's exhausted.
