Come To Think Of It: Memo to Kenny Williams, It’s Gordon Beckham Time!

It's time for the future to begin in the present. In other words, Sox fans, it's time for Kenny Williams to call up Gordon Beckham, put him at shortstop, and leave him there for the next 15 years.

While no minor league player is a sure thing, Beckham looks about as close to one as any prospect in baseball.

Beckham is currently hitting .296 at Birmingham. He won't turn 23 until September.

Meanwhile, the White Sox need the energy boost a young player like Beckham will bring. It's not to say you're giving up on the season; quite the opposite, in fact. I believe he can help this team right now.
