Josh Beckett was spanked for throwing over the head of Bobby Abreu the other day.  Major League Baseball suspended the Red Sox ace for six games and fined him an undisclosed amount of money.  Now as much as this suspension looks excessive, let’s remember that he is suspended for six TEAM games.  That basically means he will miss one start.  That has never made sense to me that pitchers miss one game while position players get suspended six actual starts for them.  All in all, the news here is Beckett will miss his next start.
