Houston Astros Win Rubber Game, Defeat Pittsburgh Pirates

The Houston Astros are now 25-30, half a game from getting out of dead last place in the National League Central courtesy of a rubber game victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-4.

The good news is, Houston won. The bad news is, they still used twice as many pitchers as the Pirates did.

I must've given the Houston bullpen the kiss of death the other day when I spoke of how great a game was since so few pitchers were used.

Astros starter Felipe Paulino pitched only 1 2/3 innings, giving up a run on three hits and striking out an impressive four hitters before leaving the game with a groin injury.
