Jake Peavy To the White Sox, Pending His Approval

Jake Peavy could finally be leaving San Diego.

ESPNChicago.com and Peter Gammons of ESPN are reporting that the White Sox and Padres have agreed to a deal in principle that would send a total of four players to San Diego for the all-star pitcher, pending Peavy waiving his no trade clause.

Peavy had been rumored to be on the move since the off-season. The Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs had both been rumored this past off-season to be close to reaching a deal with San Diego, but that never happened.

As the Padres continue to fall further back in the NL West, they realize the time is now to rebuild. As the White Sox see the Royals rejuvenated and the Twins and Tigers hanging in there in the AL Central...
