Mike Pelfrey Has Forearm Tendonitis: Who Will Replace Him In Rotation?

Mike Pelfrey was given his chance to pitch for the Mets last season when Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez went down with foot surgery.

The Mets have announced that Pelfrey has forearm tendonities in his pitching arm and will most likely be placed on the Disabled List to allow for his arm to heal.

Pelfrey has been struggling with nagging injuries for most of the spring so far, so this is the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. The Mets do have to let him take the time that he needs to get healthy again.

The Mets will most likely not resign Pedro Martinez due to contract demands, but there are some possible options down in the Minor Leagues who will replace Pelfrey in the starting rotation:
