More Turnover in Washington Nationals Front Office

According to multiple sources, the Washington Nationals have hired former Atlanta Braves scouting director Roy Clark as assistant general manager, with his duties to be varied and wide-ranging. Clark worked for Atlanta for 20 years in their scouring and development department. According to the Atlanta Constitution-Journal story, Clark will oversee the Nationals player development and all scouting functions, including international scouting, an area of particular weakness in the Nats organization. This is the second time Clark has been linked to a job with DC, apparently turning down a role withe less responsibilities in 2006. He has long-time ties with Nationals president Stan Kasten.
