Peavy To Chicago: Wait, But Not The Cubs?!

While it has not been been finalized—there is still a chance that Peavy can invoke his no-trade clause—the Padres have agreed to trade their ace to the White Sox for four minor leaguers.

With all of the offseason talk of Peavy coming to the Cubs, this move comes as a bit of a shock to Cubs fans.

One sticking point to the deal being finalized is that no-trade clause of Peavy's. He has expressed interest in being traded to a few NL teams including the Cubs, Braves, and Astros but had seemed uninterested in a move to the American League.
