Rangers and Yankees: Bats Silenced As Yankees Take Series

Derek Holland's face in the above picture is representative of how the whole team looked last night.  They had no real answer to the Yankees' pitchers and it showed.

Holland didn't pitch all that bad for as young as he is, but he got zero help from the offense which was too much for the young man. 

When a young pitcher gets no run support it is normal for him to feel like he has to do it all himself which causes him to start overthrowing and leaving pitches up, which will go over the fence at the Ballpark every time. 

He showed some great stuff, and his curveball looked pretty good considering he hadn't thrown it since junior college.

So what happened to the offense?
