Reds Catcher Ramon Hernandez finally got a little redemption for his poor start this season in the top of the ninth with a two run homer to lead Cincinnati over Houston 2-1.
Hernandez was facing Houston's Jose Valverde with one out and Edwin Encarnation on base. Hernandez delivered with his first home run as a member of the Reds.
Starter Johnny Cueto had an up and down day pitching 4 2/3 innings, giving up one run on two hits, and six walks. Cueto had three walks in the fifth, and also walked in a run that gave manager Dusty Baker no choice but to rely on the bullpen.
