Tonight was the first meeting between the Red Sox and Yankees tonight, and it could not have been more exciting.

Game one recap

The Red Sox jumped out to an early lead on Yankees hurler Joba Chamberlain, with Jacoby Ellsbury scoring on a wild pitch. Jon Lester and Joba Chamberlain then turned it into a pitcher's duel.

However, in the top of the fourth inning, the Yankees jumped out to a 2-1 lead, which Joba Chamberlain was not ready to give up. Three innings later, in the bottom of the sixth, the Red Sox tied it up thanks to a Mike Lowell double and a Nick Green RBI.

The next inning, the Yankees scored two more runs. Hideki Okajima came in to pitch the seventh. He left the game with the bases ...
