Should Baseball Fields Be Standardized Like Football and Basketball?

I have always pondered this issue.

My dad is always complaining about the short right field at Yankee Stadium. He says the Green Monster in Boston is one of the greatest things ever built.

He is primarily a Mariners fan, and they are blessed with a really nice stadium, maybe the nicest in the country.

He says that when teams go there, they can't hit home runs because the distance is too great.  And he considers his field an advantage.

I can understand "Home Field Advantage." But when you can actually build your home field however you like, it takes on a whole new meaning. I would even venture to state that the lack of a standard field in baseball makes almost every record or stat suspect....
