SNY Employee May Have Exposed Mets to Swine Flu

According to both Newsday’s David Lennon and the New York Post’s Twitter updates, the Mets have announced that an SNY employee, who may have had contact with Mets players, has been exposed to the highly publicized swine flu.

The SNY employee has since been taken into isolation in Pittsburgh.

They also announced that while Carlos Beltran and John Maine are both under the weather they aren’t showing symptoms consistent with those of swine flu.

While this is something the team has to keep an eye on, there is certainly no reason to panic as the majority of cases of swine flu are not life threatening, and are in fact more mild than the regular flu.
