After missing two scheduled starts due to forearm stiffness, Kyle Lohse took the mound against the Reds last night.

He lasted two innings.

Lohse and trainer Barry Weinberg strolled away from the behind with no outs in the top of the third, Lohse gripping his right forearm.

"Kyle was experiencing tightness in that forearm," said manager Tony La Russa. OK. Question to TLR: Why send him out there if he's not fully healthy? "The team doctor comes to the park every day," said La Russa. "They aren't going to clear him to pitch unless he passed all the tests." I don't doubt that. What I do question is the team's integrity.
