Wake the Nation: Red Sox Get 11th Straight Win

Last night, the Boston Red Sox continued their winning streak with their 11th straight victory. This win came in a pitching duel against the Cleveland Indians.

On the defensive end for the Red Sox, Tim Wakefield was the star, but the Indians starter Cliff Lee was equally unhittable.

Wakefield went into the game with a 2-1 record overall, and threw seven shut-out innings, striking out five. Lee evenly matched Wakefield's performance by going eight shut-out innings and striking out five, while giving up five hits.

Manny Delcarmen continued the Red Sox dominance, pitching a scoreless eighth inning. The pressure never got to Delcarmen as he struck out one and gave up no hits.
