You can see how much the Pistons lost in trading away Chauncey Billups.  A veteran NBA point guard makes a huge difference on a team. 

Rodney Stuckey is at least a couple of years away from understanding how to be a floor general.  The position is not easy to master. 

Michael Curry is not a guy you would consider a great teacher, so Stuckey is mainly going to have to learn through experience.  Can the franchise afford to live through his growing pains?

Pistons fans and management both want to see this proud franchise turn it around and contend for the NBA crown.  Right now.
