Western Conference Quarterfinal Matchups

 

(1) Los Angeles Lakers (65-17) vs. (8) Utah Jazz (48-34)

This one might be closer than the "experts" think. If the Lakers take at least one in Utah, then they are a definite lock to win the series, but over the past few years, the Utah Jazz have been one of the best teams at defending their home court in the regular season or in the Playoffs.

If the Lakers win this series, it will not be because of Andrew Bynum (who is the most overrated player in the entire NBA). If will be due to the play of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Those two are just going to be too much for the Jazz to handle in the end.
