Derrick Rose: A Young Bull with Grown Horns

When the Chicago Bulls landed the first pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, everyone already knew it was either Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose they were going to take.

Going with Rose was probably the best choice; I'll trust the team that drafted Michael Jordan back in '84 with the third overall selection.

No doubt that this guy is the Rookie of the Year. He is second in scoring amongst rookies with 16.8 PPG and is shooting a blazing 47.5 percent from the field. In addition, Rose is tied for seventh in double-doubles in the rookie ranks and is second in double-doubles for rookie guards behind just the athletic Russell Westbrook.
