Truthfully, the trade has actually been on the back-burner since as early as February. Danny Ferry, the GM of the Cavaliers, and Steve Kerr, the GM of the Suns, are good friends and talk frequently. It's very possible that this trade has been in the works for a while.
Cavalier fans do not wish to see this trade. Suns fans do wish to see this trade. Shaq would love to play with LeBron and to, potentially, win a championship.
