Joe Dumars, the GM of the Detroit Pistons, will need to pursue the possibility of landing unrestricted free agent Carlos Boozer this summer should he want to keep his job next year.
Dumars, the NBA Executive of the Year in 2003, has been doing a great job in Detroit—despite a few questionable decisions.
In the hugely-stacked 2003 NBA Draft, Joe drafted Darko Millicic with the second overall pick ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade, reasoning Darko would be a better fit for the team despite his lesser talent.
