After a successful 2008-2009 regular NBA season campaign, LeBron James takes home his first, and the franchise's first, NBA Most Valuable Player award named after Maurice Podoloff, the NBA's first commissioner.

LeBron is now the youngest player ever to be voted the award by sportswriters and sportscasters at 24 years and 125 days old. LeBron proved to be one of the most stand-up individuals to receive the award, thanking his mother and asking his team mates to come on stage with him to accept the award.
