It’s being reported that LeBron James, one of the NBA’s best all-around players, has won the 2008-'09 NBA Most Valuable Player Award. In six seasons, this is James’ first MVP Award, but it comes with little to no surprise.

LeBron finished second in the NBA in scoring this year with 28.4 points per game. James finished ninth in assists as well with 7.2 per game, and hauled in 7.6 rebounds per night.

James led his Cleveland Cavaliers to a 66-16 2008-2009 record. With that, they own the Eastern top seed in the NBA playoffs. The results of this year’s playoffs have obviously not been determined, but the Cavaliers, thanks in huge part to LeBron, are the favorites to win it all this season.
