Los Angeles-Orlando: No Magic on the Court in Game One, Lakers Capture Victory

From the start of the game, it was clear that Rashard Lewis was unable to guard Laker Pau Gasol.

Standing seven feet tall with a wingspan close to Yao Ming's, Gasol easily overpowered Lewis, scoring a few buckets early on.

But that was just the beginning.

Superstar Kobe Bryant took complete charge of Game One, dropping 40 points on 16-for-34 shooting, with eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Tonight, the Black Mamba did it all.

During the second quarter of the game, Bryant began heating up, knocking down incredible jumper after jumper. He ended the quarter with 12 points, and a total of 18 in the first half.
