Seen as a National recruit back in his freshman year, Walker garnered national attention from every major college. He was the star basketball player of his high school team and a very close friend of other local star guard O.J. Mayo.
While attending Kansas State university, Walker seemed to be a lock for a star player. He would have the media's attention, but without the distraction of Mayo.
Stardom was all his.
