The road to recovery continues for the Big Easy as the city won the rights to host Super Bowl XLVII over strong bids from Miami and Phoenix. 

Super Bowl XLVII will be the 10th Super Bowl hosted in New Orleans tying it with Miami for the most Super Bowls hosted. New Orleans last hosted a Super Bowl in 2002, as Tom Brady began an improbable Patriot dynasty by topping the heavily favored St.Louis Rams.
