Daily Haze: Brandon Jacobs V. Ahmad Bradshaw

Perhaps I overlooked one other emerging running-back-by-committee last week, because clearly Ahmad Bradshaw has worked his way into a significant portion of the Giants’ running game.

In Sunday’s loss to the Chargers, Bradshaw carried the ball 14 times to lead all Giants running backs in carries. Jacobs carried 11 times while third-string running back Danny Ware received two carries. In total, Bradshaw received 17 touches to Jacobs’ 12.

Those numbers should be a little concerning for Jacobs’ owners.

He was hampered during the game by a slight knee injury, though he continued to play through it. More frustratingly, Jacobs averaged 6.1 yards per carry compared to Bradshaw’s...
