The change in logo is viewed as a new beginning for a beleaguered franchise coming off of the worst season in NFL history.
Who knows if the changes will signal a new dawn for the Lions, but you have to give them credit for trying to put last season behind them as soon as possible. This same strategy worked for the Tampa Bay Bucs about ten years ago, albeit their changes were more dramatic.
