One of the biggest stories of the 2009 NFL Draft is who the Detroit Lions will take with the overall first pick. With the black cloud that seems to hang over this franchise in every direction, it's par for the course that they would hold the top pick, in a draft with no consensus No. 1 player.

Coming off the first 0-16 record in NFL history, a case can be made to select almost any position, realistically, other than WR and RB.
