Imagine biting into a slice of ripe lemon. The juice immediately begins to pucker your cheeks and lips, and your eyes squeeze shut, trying desperately to fight off the bitterness that has invaded your mouth.

Now imagine having to slam an entire bag of Sour Patch Kids immediately after.

That is what it was like to be an Eagles fan in January. Watching the Eagles lose the NFC Championship Game for the fifth time in a decade was plenty enough to leave a bitter taste in every Philadelphian's mouth, with or without lemons and candy.

Nonetheless, Philadelphia has rebounded. Its sights are locked in on 2009 and the prospects of capturing the franchise's first-ever Super Bowl.
