Is Asher Allen The Minnesota Vikings Future Starting Cornerback?

With the 86th pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select... Georgia Cornerback, Asher Allen.

I thought this pick would be D.J. Moore, but I'm satisfied in getting a player as talented as Asher Allen.

Minnesota needed a potential starter for the future when Antoine Winfield goes elsewhere, or retires.

Asher is a 5"10, 198 pound tackle-machine.

He wracked up 142 tackles in only three seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs. Allen also had three interceptions.

Asher played in his junior season with a broken hand, believe it or not.

He doesn't have great speed, but he makes up for it with aggressiveness.
