Leroy Hill and Seattle Seahawks Lock Up Long-Term Deal

The Seattle Seahawks have announced the signing of LB Leroy Hill. Hill was recently released from his franchise-tag status allowing the Seahawks to free up cap room, and rekindle the negotiation fires.

The plan obviously worked.

The deal is for six years and $38 million, with $15.5 million guaranteed.

It only took about $400k more a year to get it done. Good job Seattle.

With the $8.3 million the Seahawks had at their disposal when they originally cut Hill, they signed two starters: Former Carolina Panther, and ex-Seahawk, CB Ken Lucas, and FB Justin Griffith, who previously worked with head coach Jim Mora and offensive coordinator Greg Knapp in Atlanta and Oakland.
