Michael Vick Released by Atlanta Falcons

After spending the last 22 months in federal custody, troubled quarterback Michael Vick has officially been released by the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons have attempted numerous times to find a trade partner to take Vick off their hands, but unfortunately they have been unable to do so.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank has made it known for quite some time that Vick should be in the NFL, just not with the Atlanta organization.

In 2001, Atlanta gave up a ton to gain the No. 1 overall pick to draft Vick out of Virginia Tech. A couple of years later, Vick became one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.
