I remember when I first got season tickets with the boys, everything revolved around tailgating. It still does, but my outlook on it has changed.
In the mid 1990s, for the one o’clock games we would get together for a 6 a.m. tailgate which started before we left for Veterans Stadium. We usually arrived there around 8 a.m.
By the time we arrived, I was already crossed-eyed from the six beers I drank and the fact that I got three hours of sleep from going out and getting hammered on Saturday night. I miss having that capability.
