Term Sheet Approved by Santa Clara City Council: Team Awaits Ballot Vote

In a 5-2 vote, the Santa Clara City Council approved a term sheet to bring the 49ers to the South Bay. 

With only a majority vote by Santa Clara County citizens standing in the way of this proposal becoming a reality, a new stadium, and apparently a new city, seems to be in store for this storied franchise.

“The 49ers Stadium makes Santa Clara a better place to live, to work, and to play,” said Jed York.  “And I think that’s very evident.  I think anytime you have a deal that makes your city a better place, I think voters will vote affirmatively.”
