Bad Blood Between Rangers, Capitals Comes to a Boil In Game Seven

These were two teams that didn’t like each other. A fan poured his beer on a coach. Said coach went after said fan with a stick. One Capital leveled a Ranger with a cheap shot in mid-ice, while another Ranger yelled obscenities at a Washington goaltender that doesn’t speak English. Goaltenders put on shows or collapsed completely. Somewhere in the mess, there was a goal that ranks among the best scored this decade.
That all happened through six games. Even before game seven, it felt like something big was going to happen.
