Blackhawks-Red Wings: Detroit Starts Out the Western Conference Finals Strong

With game one of the Western Conference Finals underway, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings played a strong game of hockey and started what should be a great series between two very strong teams. After lots of excitment and chances Detroit came out on top to take game one of the series with a final score of 5-2.

In the first period Chicago came out strong and seemed to outplay Detroit with lots of chances and great skill. It didnt take long before Andrew Burish started out scoring for Chicago to make it 1-0.

Later in the first Detroit seemed to get it together as Daniel Cleary scored a great goal as he was all alone with Khabibulin to tie it up with the first period closing.
