Bobby Holik Retires

This is bittersweet news. Bitter in that he played most of his career for the Devils, so it's always sad to see someone like that go. But sweet because he sucks.

Holik is third in career goals as a Devil (behind Patrik Elias and John McLean) with 202. A lot of that has to do with their relatively short history and lack of big-time scorers, but that's still impressive, especially from a checker.

Well, hats (and gloves) off to Holik, congrats on a pretty great career, even if you showed your age this season. Yes, you did spurn us for the Rangers once, but considering that they paid you a billion dollars more than you were worth, I can hardly blame you.
