Boston Bruins, Milan Lucic: The One That Got Away

This is an article that I wrote earlier in the hockey season but never published in B/R.

I was going to write about a former Vancouver Giant, Milan Lucic, who was drafted 50th in the second round by the Boston Bruins.  Much has been written about him in the Vancouver media today already, so I will not repeat the info that you may have already read. 

I do know that I watched him play as a 16 year old with the Vancouver Giants, when he came up at the end of the 2004-2005 season and that was my first exposure to him.

He was not a proficient skater at that time but he made himself known in that first game, as he was hitting everything that moved and accounted himself well in the fisticuff scena...
