Bruins-Hurricanes, Game Three: Carolina Edges Boston in OT

Jussi Jokinen scored his fifth goal of the playoffs, a wrist shot just 2:48 into overtime, as the Carolina Hurricanes stunned the Boston Bruins tonight, 3-2.

Tim Thomas did his part tonight, stopping 38 of 41 shots on goal in the losing effort—his second straight—as the Bruins went down 2-1 in this playoff series.

Boston lit the lamp first at 8:43 into the first period, as Milan Lucic notched his first playoff goal this year from Dennis Wideman and Marc Savard. Lucic led all Bruins' with five shots on goal.

The Bruins were winning the physical part of the game in the first period, out-hitting the 'Canes 17-10 after the first 20-minutes—yet were out-shot 12-8.
