If not Alex Ovechkin, then who would you want to have the puck?

Why not the most experienced player on the Washington Capitals roster—Sergei Fedorov.

Fedorov's wrist shot with just under five minutes remaining proved to be the dagger in the hearts of New York fans on Tuesday night at Verizon Center.

Despite being down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series, the Caps overcame the odds, defeating the New York Rangers 2-1 to win the series 4-3.

Down 1-0 in the first, Washington had a three-on-two, and Alex Semin found the net to knot it at one-apiece. The Caps only had two shots on goal in period one.

The second period was a bore with neither team doing much of anything.
