Detroit-Columbus: Franzen, Red Wings Sweep The Blue Jackets

The Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets battled it out in game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday as the Wings took a series sweep defeating the Jackets 6-5.

With the first period underway and a series of penalties to Blue Jackets Derek Dorsett and Raffi Torres and one to Red Wing Jonathan Ericsson, Nick Lidstrom came out on top with a goal to start off scoring to give Detroit a 1-0 lead.

Later in the first when Kirk Maltby took interference penalty Kristian Huselius took advantage to tie it up with a rocket shot to tie the game, 1-1, which really got the crowd going.
