Hall of Famer Patrick Roy Returns to Colorado Avalanche as Head Coach

It looks like the rumors are true and the Colorado Avalanche's hall-of-fame goalie, Patrick Roy, is returning to the NHL as the head coach of the team he took to two Stanley Cup Championships. He is regarded as one of the greatest goalies in the history of hockey and has been coaching in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Mile High Hockey says that, according to several sources close to him, Patrick Roy has been offered the head coaching job of the Colorado Avalanche. The job is currently held by Tony Granato.

The Denver Post also reported that Roy has received an offer. Roy is the coach and general manager of the Quebec Remparts.
