IIHF Hampers Alexander Radulov’s NHL and Olympics Bid

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) announced a new policy and punishment for “contract jumpers” prior to the medal rounds of the IIHF World Championships, Jeff Klein of the New York Times reports.
Contract jumpers are those players who violate their contract with one league to go play in another league, in other words, Alexander Radulov.
Contract jumpers would be banned from playing for a four- to six-month period. Offending players would also be banned from international competition for one to three years, and offending clubs would be banned from the transfer market for 3 to 24 months.
