Is Washington Capitals Enforcer Donald Brashear Leaving NHL For KHL

Donald Brashear of the Washington Capitals has denied reports he is leaving the NHL for the KHL, according to the Capitals Insider blog of the Washington Post. Several reports, all citing the Russian newspaper called Sport-Express, claimed Brashear was on his way to play in Russia.

Brashear is now serving a six game suspension from the NHL for dirty deeds in a first round playoff game with the New York Rangers. He got a five game suspension for a violent hit he laid on penalty killing unit star Blair Betts, plus another game for hitting the Rangers tough guy, Colton Orr, before the game even began.
